Hit upload before I put in info. Still using fillers , something I feel a bit guilty about but I'm hoping to get a film finished and developed today. This is another from the derelict cottage in Evie- I love half derelict places. The totally derelict don't have so many stories but this place was alive with a life that was evident in the many things left to rot. Obviously they all meant something at the time. There isn't a feeling of sadness - we spoke to the gentleman who owns this building and he lives across the road in his new build. Much more room for a growing family, a lot more comfort too.

Great capture. Love the lighting. Have to agree with you. I've always love the derelicts...maybe because I'm one myself.
Funny thing is, when I was growing up, there were abandoned houses, cars left in fields, or deep wood. Things left from some previous time for us to explore, and in the back of our young minds, we were thinking the same things you wrote....that at some point, what was left was something to somebody once. Now, there's none left around here. Progress has everything neat and tidy. That's fine I guess, but I miss the old remnants. Is that odd?
This really makes me want to see more (nosy I suppose)!! You have certainly got me into derelicts! Something I've never even thought of before. Thankyou :-)
@losthorizon Not odd at all - we still have a lot of abandoned stuff here - mainly because it's so rural - as soon as land becomes more expensive and scarce it'll all disappear too. So much has already gone from my childhood - I hope they keep what's left
Fantastic shot, I love the movement in the curtains and also the fact that you spoke to the previous owner and it was a happy outcome for him, love the sense of tranquility here with the shady foliage. Fav.
another fav for me, by this time I ams sooo behind with commenting on your shots I will not even attempt catching up, sorry they are in my wall of fame though and I can see them whenever I want . I will try to be better:) This is just fabulous for me, gritty pretty and old!
