chair edit 2

Had a great day as a friend from school got in touch during the week. She was coming down from Shetland for the weekend so we met for lunch with 2 other friends from school. She then took me out to her granny's home that was derelict. As it was on land that was owned by someone else we thought we'd knock and ask permission. I always do and have only ever had a positive response, much to the amusement of some older people who wonder what on earth you'd want to do that for. The door opened and it was a friend of my brother who said she'd been going to message me about this place ! I started a facebook page for photography last week and the response has been like this, just everyone helping out and telling me about places. Way to dark for film - it was quite overcast today but I can go back anytime so will return on a sunny day as this building will be great with good light
Amazing composition. I love the tone, the lighting, and the outstanding post processing. Very impressive.

Looks like a great place for a photo shoot. Just beware when that rocking chair starts to rock on it's own Lol!!

Fab - love the graininess - how fantastic that people are looking out for sites for you. Looking forwards to the results. Went to a great exhibition today where they had photos from the middle of last century developed with albumin or something I'd never heard of, gum bicarbonate - have you ever used that? The effects were great - I thought of you!

@taz_o That's sounds wonderful, I love all the alternative processes - I 've done gum prints - btw a lot of them can be done using digital negatives now- you don't need hugely specialised equipment, check out this website if you're interested http://www.alternativephotography.com/wp/
but it's addictive :)

oh wow, this is fabulous. It reminded me straightaway of the book that I read, called "The Shack". Excellent book, and this should be the cover! Fav

Cool shot. I think you are right about the lighting, you must go back when there are some strong shadows.

The composition is nice, and the placement of the chair gives it the feeling of almost being lived in, even now.

Wonderful image! How cool that you can get this with an iphone? Imagine what you could do with film and a tripod?
