I love books/films with a post apocalyptic theme. I find the idea of a world without government both terrifying and exciting. I could get political but this isn't the place and I'd only start a rant. anyway this is colour film... desaturated and I've discovered you can put pointy things in curves and really mess up a picture.

Love this!I find myself looking forward to your images each day!I am drawn to those books as well. Some are exciting some are horrifying.Have you ever read The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood?I still shudder thinking of it.
@mzzhope Thank you - Yes that is a horrifying book - I love Margaret Attwood. It started in childhood with Peter Dickinson "The Devil's Children"
which was televised in the 1970s - loved every terrifying minute!
Handmaid's Tale is one of my favorites as well as her trilogy about Crake and the aftermath of the end of the world as we know it. The Road by Corman McCarthy is one of the scariest. I'm totally drawn to post apocalyptic novels, movies too -- I can imagine the scenario too perfectly for comfort. I feel like I'm preparing myself for the inevitable. Oh, and I love your picture, Ingrid!
Love the fact you've included a decent amount of the wallpaper here -- great contrast between the homely/familiar and rather eerie dilapidation and transformation of nature outside the frame.

I recently read Jack Londons Iron Heel. Ugh, maybe one of my fav's (besides 1984). Its on Gutenberg.org for free if you are interested.
