I got out today and it was a beautiful day, flat calm and so lovely to get away from work/home. I didn't have a lot of time and I had 2 places I wanted to go . I went to an old hostel that I took photos of in february. The guy in the house next door was out so I spoke to him and he said if you go inside be careful on the stairs. I'm allowed to go in????? Yes, just be careful.. YES!!!!!!!!!!! Appalling light as the sun was setting and all the windows have ivy growing over them. I did take film but will be very surprised if any turns out. May go back with a tripod however the top of the stairs is a gaping hole with a plank connecting the two upstairs room. Both hands needed. I've used tilt shift to create a miniature feel. maybe too blurry. My husband showed me how to use his digital camera and I may be tempted for this kind of low light. You are so brave going in all these old buildings, it makes it sound like Orkney is full of dereliction though! Superb shot the bleariness makes it look rather spooky. Fav.
