The same window from last week but on film this time. I was really pleased these turned out at all as his building was so dark with the small windows and ivy growing all over it - I'm going to add an exterior in extra album so you can see. This was a really slow shutter speed, probably around 1/2 a sec - it's amazing how much you scrunch in to keep as steady as possible. The ivy is growing through the window and with the floral curtains. It felt like the curtains were alive. Have atarted catching up, been out for a family meal tonight though - stuffed
Yes, the curtains do seem to be alive -- as if the flowers on them are growing. I can scarcely imagine holding a camera steady at that slow a shutter speed. I really need to use my tripod more often.
When you look at the outside it's amazing you can see so much - wonderful overall feeling of green (and not as disturbing as the other one you posted - definitely is because of the objects!). I like the feel of nature taking over the house.
@chewyteeth No flash, I don't even know where mine is. It's not something I've ever enjoyed but it might have been good in here. DUH!!! What on earth was I thinking - it would be perfect for these places. Thank you ........... :)
I have a great kit, off eBay, £15 a transmitter and two receivers, compatible with my canon, and with film cameras and means I can use film flash with my canon without blowing it, and they came with pc cables for old cameras too. Would be ace, because you could get cheap film flash which go for pennies, and place them under beds, behind curtains - wherever and switch the transmitter from your nikon FE, Rollei and digital as you please. I thought you'd used it because of the harsh shadows behind the bedstead. Maybe the sun from another window.
Gosh, I am thinking, how many of these places are there in Shetland? Is it like some Dr Who episode where you are photographing the place and haven't noticed that everyone else has gone!! To be serious though, it is sad in a way that you have so many opportunities to shoot places like this.
