cyanotype lower res

I had to save this scan at 3 different resolutions and I think I did the lowest too low but the med wouldn't load. That's where my lack of computer skills annoy me. I found the 2 jars of cyanotype chemicals I mixed a few months ago - wondering if they were still ok to use and thought I had nothing to lose. I wish now I'd printed out a digital neg as they were working fine. I instead used some dried bog cotton I picked in the summer. There is a lack of detail . I toned it in some tea and coffee to remove the vivid prussian blue. I coated about 6 sheets of paper so am going to be printing out some dig. negs over the weekend. Ok there's no film but it's an analog process so I'm tagging it film lives. Have a great weekend !

Chemicals used Potassium Ferricyanide
Ferric Ammonium Citrate.

This is such an easy and very cheap process here's a link to some great info. You don't need a UV unit - this can be done with sunlight. You don't even need film. The chemicals can also be purchased as a kit

@rennes Hey Lisa - thank you, was wondering how you were? The funny thing was I saw a picture of a zebra, thought of you then burst out laughing and couldn't explain to anyone. Hope you're getting all your files organised :D

LOL! I thought my black & white striped ears were burning!!! To you I will be forever zebra!!! ; )) My file organising (aka disorganisation) is painfully slow - but determined to get it done! I wish trash meant trash - I keep fishing things back out!!! But thankfully, there is a whole lot of trashing going on... eventually! : ))

The emotion in this is lovely! Fav and thanks for the link, Ingrid. Think I'm gonna try this!

@joemuli Hey thanks, the chems sound a lot worse than they are - certainly don't eat them but fairly harmless and stable - according to data sheets I have. I think the cyanide bit makes it sound worse :)
