books and light

I had the opportunity to do some photography at an old library that is being renovated as a music venue/gallery. Before anyone is upset we had an incredible new library built about 13 years ago to replace this one, so no losses. There isn't much left in there, a few books and some blinds. The light however was incredible, thankfully there was sun on the day we were in. I took a mixture - this is from a film I just developed. I liked the lines and shapes but not much else.

great shot, love the old penguin caught in the light, film being so fitting in a place like that... good to see an old venue get a new lease of life . Our library is housed in an old church , you get great light streaming through the stained glass windows...

Love the light an shadow. I can't remember when I was last in a library. I think it was when Southampton had all those rhino statues everywhere.
I guess your new library is the Orkney Library of Twitter fame? :)
