D for Duck

Had an afternoon at the RSPB Reserve at Burton Mere on the Dee Estuary today.

We saw lots of interesting birds and came home with some research to do. This is a teal, we also saw avocets, a short eared owl, linnets, a marsh harrier, heron, lapwings, godwits and lots of other unidentified flying objects.
Haha, it almost looks like he's learning his alphabet. It's a great place to wander around, but sometimes hard to get close enough to the interesting stuff. I presume the UFO's were feathered ?

@markp absolutely but the flying birds were too quick for me they just looked like blobs on my photos. I watched the marsh harrier for about 10 minutes the binoculars but it was too far away to get a photo.
