Put your best foot forward

These freshly painted Herdwick sheep were on their way back to the fields when we passed by on our walk today. I think the sheepdogs were keen for them to get a move on.
Nice capture, they are very woolly, great title too!

@pasttheirprime thanks for the advice. There were so many sheep in the original photo I tried a few crops but was really undecided which was best. I think I was trying to get too many sheep in the frame so in the end I went with that one, but I like your idea very much!

@maree_sanderson when the sheep graze on common ground the famers use different colour schemes to identify which ones belong to them.
