Another breezy day but this heron didn't seem to mind having his feathers ruffled.
Late posting yesterday's photo as we were out with friends visiting from Holland all day. Hans is responsible for me doing the Liver Bird photo project, he started it on a visit a few years ago but is missing a few, so we spent the day finding some of them. He was busy photographing a building opposite the park when I saw this out of the car window. I didn't have far to walk and the heron was very happy to pose for the photo!
This is fantastic -- I like how the breezes show up in the way its feathers look a bit windblown -- it adds interest to the bird portrait and makes it unique. Great capture.
