Next to last tutu

This is my lovely goddaughter with the red tutu she'll be wearing at her ballet school's dance show in a few weeks time.

The dresses are made by the dance teacher but usually need a few adjustments as the date of the show gets nearer. So she came with her mum today so I could fix the straps and fastenings for her.

She said the next show in two years time will be her last one. I felt quite sad as we love going to see all the little ballerinas but I guess she's got other plans...

Had a busy day so was glad of a willing volunteer for a photo!

oh this brings back SO many memories of my daughter's dancing productions...i sewed costumes in bulk for 10 years wishing all the time i didn't have to do it...then really missed it last year when she no longer did dancing to concentrate on her final school year...enjoy while you can... :o)
