Had a couple of spare hours this afternoon to take a look at some of the Liverpool Biennial, a festival of contemporary art which started last week.
There's a lot to see in different venues around the city so we started at the former Higsons Brewery where we saw quite a variety of exhibits. I can't pretend to understand what they were all about but some of them were quite interesting and thought-provoking.
As well as being an exhibition space there's an antiques emporium and a cafe here as well as the pub that was part of the brewery.
It's good that the building is still being used, it would be such a shame to see it fall into a more dilapidated state.
