Golden hour

I thought it would be worth a trip to the Pier Head this afternoon just in case the setting sun turned the waterfront buildings golden.

These buildings look so different every time they're photographed, I think the architecture looks particularly beautiful in this light.

Beautiful against the blue sky. I think this accentuates the golden colour of the building, and it would not look nearly so good against a grey sky. Just shows you have to be in the right place at the right time
