Island life

We've been in the Isle of Man all week to see my poor old dad who's been in hospital with heart trouble.

It's been a difficult week but he was moved out of intensive care today so we had some time out with my mum and some much needed fresh air.

The harbour was full of seals and gulls waiting for the fishing boats to come back, so interesting to see.

Hope to catch up soon, have really missed being here.
I wish all well to your father. This photo is amazing. i love the colors and composition. And you caught the atmosphere well. I can smell the air. FAV

Excellent shot.....It's many years since I set foot on IoM (1986 I think). Used to go to TT every year......and have been to Nobles Hosp many times, both with my kids and visiting........Is it still there, or is pulled down and a new one built?

Lovely shot. Friends of ours here in Oz come from the Isle of Man I will have to show them this photo and see if they recognise it.

The green and white structure looks like a dalek.

Hope your Dad is okay, very worrying time.

@cutekitty my mum and dad live at the bottom of Bray Hill so I grew up with the bikes whizzing past the front garden. The hospital is a new one on the outskirts of Douglas near Union Mills, all very different from the old Nobles!

@onewing haha yes I can see a dalek now you mention it. I wonder if your friends will know where it is, I'm sure they will.
Thanks, my dad's stable so that's good.

@inthecloud5 I showed this photo to John and he said he thinks it is the entrance to Peel Harbour taken on the causeway to St Patrick's Isle. Is he right?
