Tucked away in an oasis of gardens and historic buildings in central London is the church belonging to the Inner and Middle Temples, two of the inns of court where barristers are 'called to the bar'.
We made our way to the upper level to look down on the church through a narrow window.
I was fascinated by the history here, the church was built by the Knights Templar, the order of crusading monks founded to protect pilgrims on their way to and from Jerusalem in the 12th century.
The church featured in the Da Vinci Code and at the height of the film's popularity attracted hundreds of visitors every day. Thankfully we didn't have to queue to get in today :)
