I loved the swirly bits on the teasel seed head that I found at the nature reserve today so I took them into photoshop and added a texture.
After playing about with colour and b&w options I went back to how it looked in the beginning, I liked the background and colours of the plant so I reduced the opacity of the texture to let the blurry branches in the background come through.
I've been giving some thought to how I'd like to do my 365 project this year and I want to try some more photoshop techniques which means I'll have to spend more time learning. But I really missed taking photos every day last year and ended up with too many gaps so planning to post a photo a day again in 2019, even if it's just a diary shot :)
Such a lovely subject beautifully presented. It's worked for you here but sometimes software faffing can have negative consequences. Like feeding into a need to control, spending too much time in front of a monitor and in my case building frustration1 The problem for me is that I just won't learn it because its not wgere I want to be. I can always find something more interesting to do... like going out with my camera which feels like a much healthier activity!
@yrhenwr I think in my case a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, I've ended up with some pretty awful edits that really looked better before I started. I agree with preferring to be out with the camera but maybe on dull winter days I might devote a little time to learning :)
