When we moved 4 years ago, we left behind a wonderful gardening spot that we had created. Well, I'm sure it would have been wonderful. For years and years I have wanted or tried to grow a garden. For one reason or another (aka - I was big, fat, and pregnant and either couldn't get down on my knees or didn't want to be out in the heat) and it only led to weeds and dead plants.
Last year, I asked the husband to build me 5 garden boxes. Each of them is 4'x4'. Earlier this year, when our neighbors moved, they gave us two more which we connected to yet one more. I have been a gardening fool and I LOVE it!!! Along with the garden boxes that house stawberries, carrots, cucumbers, squash, melons, and pumpkins, we also have 4 tomato plants and a variety of flowers and other plants. I love going out every morning to water them all and seeing all of the changes and growth being made.
These are the carrots which will be harvested next week. Oh, and that is "Eeny" (whose real name is "Liz") hanging out on the fence. She has two babies behind her named "Meeny" and "Miney" and a husband on the other fence named "Cam" ...but he goes by, "Moe".
