Happened in my backyard.

(Sorry for the repost. I appreciate all the comments on the first version. I like this one better. I am not sure what kind of birds they are. One black, one hungry? ;) Maybe someone here knows?)

BEAUTIFUL shot! It looks like a Coopers Hawk eating a grackle. Grackles are one of the only iridescent black birds of that size, and the Cooper can be identified by the dark wings and striped tail. Rare opportunity right outside your door, awesome!

A fantastic shot, although I can't help feeling sorry for the prey. At least the hawk hunts out of necessity.
