This is just a quick practice shot from something I'm been wanting to try. Ideally, this would work best in complete darkness and I've got some awesome ideas for that (and my hand needs to heal before I try again. I suggest wearing gloves. ). It's not the perfect that I have in mind but is still kind of cool. Besides, it was fun and that's always worth sharing.
@munkoyey@froggie0628@stevej - Thank you. :) I took a strand of battery operated Christmas lights, wound them around the battery pack, and secured them. Then I took a piece of yarn about 24" long and tied it to the lights. I spun the lights over the same spot on the ground as I rotated around it. (hope that makes sense... instead of me spinning in place, the lights spun in place and I side stepped in a circle around the spot on the ground that I kept the spinning lights over) This was a 10" exposure. My 8 year old was manning the wired remote for me. :)
very well done! ~ I tried once, got blisters from the rubbing of the wire and my orb was less than spherical ~ I just cannot keep my arm 'still' as it swings those lights [LOL]
