free lens---ing

I have been trying free lensing , using a DSLR with the lens detached. It gives a sort of tilt shift effect. It may wreck both camera and lens, I don't know. I would like to hear from anybody else who has tried it....

I really like the look of this shot, it's beautiful! I've never tried this technique, but I'm def going to look in to it.
