The Claggadh Hooker by jack4john

The Claggadh Hooker

The traditional Claddagh fishing boats are called Hookers. The Claddagh was an old fishing village in the center of Galway made up of small thatched cottages, It had it's own King. The women of the Claddagh wore dresses and shawls of a particular color, This was also the color of the hooker's sails. It is also the color of Galway Football teams.. see link.
