Having been to the Netherlands on a few occasions I have noticed how well they maintain their homes and public buildings . They also leave their curtains open so you can see that the insides are as cool as the exterior.

Fantastic Dutch photo! I noticed the openness to seeing inside homes when I was there too. It's so different from the States, but it's cool to get a glimpse of people's lives.
