I'v been hanging around here for the past 26 months and put up 700+ plus shots, some of which I still like, some not so much. Anyway I think it's time I took a break, learn a little more about photography in general and find new avenues to explore. I have been greatly inspired by the people on here, and in some cases feel as if I have got to know some of you, even though we have not met. I'm not going to any other site, I feel what this site offers goes beyond just photography. I'll still look in everyday and ask you all not to laugh if after a few days I get lonely and return. A big thank you, to all 365 people present and past..
Oh I will miss you if you don't at least pop in once in a while! I understand of course but it's slways sad to see someone leave! I for one would never mind you coming back! Best of luck in your endeavors although you don't seem to need much in the way of learning more...your photos are always beautiful...as is this one of this gorgeous vintage camera!
I'll miss seeing your pictures. Have a good refreshing break (I hope it does prove to just be a renewing retreat and not goodbye.) This is a neat image. The processing fits the vintage camera well.
John, you are intelligent, witty, a bit of a philosopher and a talented photographer - that's a rare and heady mix... I shall miss you. And thank you for all the time you have invested in my project - I've appreciated your wise and sensitive comments. Keep safe...
Oh no, I'll miss you! But I know what you mean, it's good to do other things, have a bit of a change now and then. I still remember you writing, when I decided to take a break last July: 'We take these photos so why not show them'... Hope to see some of your pictures again, some day, some time. Take care!
oh john. say it ain't so. i shall miss your witty remarks and fabulous photographs. all those slices of the west coast captured so beautifully with your wonderful processing. i do so hope you'll get a teensy bit lonely and come right back ;) oh, and a big fav for this awesome image
Oh:.😢 I shall dearly miss your wit, your humour and your sensational photos. Although we are thousands of miles away I feel like I'm losing a friend. I have to be honest and say that I'm feeling exactly the same right now, so who knows if I am still on 365 in a few months time. But I will always checkin and I sure hope to see some of your new work from time to time. Take Care and keep snapping.
I've very much enjoyed your photos and your comments John. Thanks for helping to make this site so interesting over the nearly 2 years I've been here. Good luck in your future photo endeavours.
Beautiful photo. I would just like to take this opportunity to say thank you for the pleasure your photographs have brought to me, and for your encouraging and very kind comments upon mine. :-)
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face; the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hand.
Come back as you may, you will be missed of that there is no doubt. I have enjoyed your work immensely! May your photographic journey continue to feed your soul.
I'm terrible at keeping up and I'm sorry to know I've missed your departure... I think we all need a break once in a while, that's to be understood. Hopefully you are having a good time outside this project :) Will miss seeing your outstanding work.
I was wondering where you were and I see you are off enjoying life and the world around you. I've missed seeing your fabulous and unique images on my page.
Enjoy life and do what makes you happy John. I'll keep my fingers crossed that you will pop back in to say hi one day soon. All the best to you. :)
Hope that you're break is going well. I totally relate. I tend to skip the month of July altogether just to step away and not pit pressure on myself, but it's always good to come back. I love the international community. See you again soon
