Well, here I am. I have been missing in action for quite some time - due quite simply to moving to France and having a VERY busy time. Not all pleasant, but all very necessary. We have had to do a lot of work on our house and I'm afraid the camera hasn't been out since August. It still hasn't - this is an i-phone snap taken quickly when out cycling yesterday. I haven't even been on the 365 website since August as I didn't want to get dragged in as I knew I would when I saw all your wonderful photos! I will not be posting on a daily basis yet, but am going to try and get back into things gradually now that I have some free time once more. :-) And now for a wee browse amongst your posts my friends ...
Nice place! Yours? Good thing you have a staff to keep the floors clean and the windows washed or you'd never have any time for photography! I like this in B&W. Lovely view you have while doing a bit of cycling.
So nice to see your post. What a beautiful building. Looks fab in B&W. How exciting about your move. Just think of the amazing photos you will take as you explore your new home.
@lyndemc Thanks! The other thing I didn't mention is that I have a tough cycling holiday coming up early November - booked before we knew about the move, so I'm trying to fit in some cycling as well as all the household chores and tasks! It's been a busy few months.
@juliedduncan If only Julie, if only. However, having seen what is required to be done (after having been rented out for 9 years ...) to our own, modest, 3 bedroomed house, I would not thank you for this one! Best just to look at me thinks! ;-)
@crazypuce We have lived here before Linda, a few times actually, in Paris in the late 80s, then for 3 years in the early 2000s. We also spent 4 years in the SW of France quite recently (Pau), so are pretty Frenchified! We do love it here, although I was not so happy this time round as I really, really didn't want to leave the US so soon! However, we always make the most of where we are. :-)
@milaniet So NOT Houston, but I really miss so much about Houston. However, no point in looking back - we move forward without regrets. It's a wonderful life.
