Conflans-Sainte-Honorine

Had a lovely day for cycling today. 78 km out to Auvers-sur-Oise and back home to Croissy-sur-Seine. This is an i-phone shot of some of the houseboats at Conflans-Sainte-Honorine where we had a wee coffee stop.
Oh Issi! How wonderful to see your photos a midst your new, lovely location! Isn't it enthralling to have such beautiful new sights to see?! This is beautiful!

78 km! You're obviously very fit Issi! Interesting shot of the houseboats in the sunshine. Off to Houston in the morning :)

@Weezilou Thank you! It's a whole new world of sights and sounds after Houston. Getting back into the swing of things! :-)

I like the half-sunken dinghy! :)

Love your pov and the reflections of the houseboats.

Such interesting sights you encounter while out cycling. (Good luck on your upcoming event.) Doesn't appear these boats move often. I guess you could say they've put down roots right here? The dinghy looks to be the home of perhaps a local fish or two.

Is that a bird on the bow of the dinghy??

Imagine my surprise at the Paris shots! I've been really behind on 365 due to family commitments. Looks like you're adjusting just fine to life in Paris.

@lyndemc Yes it is a bird, decapitated by me, and the mooring rope, I'm afraid! It's the usual problem of the i-phone - you can't be very precise in what you get in the image in sunny conditions, as you can't see the screen well enough.

@nanalisarocks Oh, I know, I've been busy Lisa! I was off 365 for a couple of months during the move, and still am not back at 100%, but am just posting whenever I have some 'local content' to share, and browsing the site when I have time and enjoying everyone's posts. :-)

What a contrast to Houston!

@taffy Indeed it is! Some of it good, some of it not so good! One of the things I am struggling to cope with in the suburbs where we live is the fact that most shops open around 10 am, close again at 12.30 for a long lunch - opening up again at 2.30, sometimes 3 in the afternoon! And of course if they're open on a Saturday, they are closed on a Monday too! It's very frustrating for someone who likes to get up and at it first thing in the morning!

@jamibann Sounds like quite the laid back life -- which is tough to deal with when you're also trying to get things done. I hope it means your day to day life is more lay back than it was here.

lovely shot!

Really like this shot and the patterns of all the boats. Nice to see some lovely blue sky as it's been pretty miserable here recently

@perspectivesimages Thanks Alison - we've been lucky since we've been in Paris - mostly nice weather! Long may it continue.
