This is a granite bench at our house which belonged to the previous owners (a delightful old couple, who also built the house). They left it behind because it was too heavy to move and they had nowhere to put it in their new 'downsized' appartment. The stone came from the lady's childhood home. We are very happy to look after it for her, and she's coming to visit soon as she still lives in the neighbourhood. Sadly her husband passed on a couple of years ago.
The story makes this even more beautiful.

Nice shot. Great focus. That's really nice she's coming to visit. So sad about the husband. I think she will be pleased to see her bench is well taken care of.

Issi, I'm just looking through all your photos and loving them all, especially the macros and the stories (from hopping on the bike for flowers, showing your husband's kilt, finding a pill pack bump, to this lovely remembrance ). I've missed a lot!
