I went to see this magnificent building yesterday, despite heavy rain and wind. Not the best day for viewing a building such as this! It is an amazing place, both inside and out. I will post some photos from inside on my 'extras' album. The building was started in 2006 and it opened last year. It is an art museum and cultural centre and was designed by the architect Frank Gehry. It is adjacent to the Jardin d'Acclimatation in the Bois de Boulogne of the 16th arrondissement of Paris.
It's basically in Paris, Louise. On the western edge. Easy to get to from the suburbs or from central Paris - it's on the metro line (Les Sablons) if you plan coming over here! Annoyed that this shot is not quite straight, but if I straightened it, I lost the edge of the building. It's a fabulous place to visit - especially for anyone interested in architecture.
@Weezilou@jamibann there's even en easier way to get there : a 1 € bus from Place de l'Etoile that stops just in front of it. It's such a great architecture!
@parisouailleurs It is an absolutely wonderful structure Helene, and I loved it both inside and out. So many interesting buildings in Paris though. Nous avons de la chance! :-)
