Ladybird by jamibann

Ladybird

This little lady landed on my deck chair the other day as I was sitting reading. She obliged by hanging around until I got my camera out to capture an image of her. I'm assuming she is a ladybird, but her markings and size are a little different from the ladybirds I'm used to seeing.
Haven't seen one that shape!

ladybird sounds much nicer than a fungus beetle ;) Nice job capturing her. Interesting how the markings are symmetrical isnt it?!

Great close up. We have not seen any so far this year.

If it were a ladybird, it looks like she's one of those lucky ones that has genes that make her 'tall and thin'.

There you go with super dof! ;)

I believe there are many different kinds of ladybirds, with different colours and markings. Great comp and dof in this macro.

Kim
The weave of the chair offers a nice contrast for her pretty orange wings.
