Catching up again after being MIA for a few days. Today Mhairi and I drove from Ballater down to Loughborough in England where she will be working for the next four weeks. After a 7 and a half hour drive, we arrived at her new student accommodation to find that it was filthy. So, our first task was to purchase a vacuum cleaner and cleaning products, so we could, at least, make her bedroom presentable. Things looked better after that, and the rest of the cleaning was done the following morning. Not a good start though. I had wanted to visit this tower and get a photo as it is synonymous with Loughborough, but we just didn't find the time, even though we walked past it in Queen's Park on several occasions! It is a well known landmark, visible from several miles away, standing 152 feet high. Mhairi took this photo for me a couple of days later and sent to me for 365.
