At last I have got round to posting a SOOC image, taken with my 50mm prime lens, for Richard's September challenge. I can't tell you how much I wanted to crop that tiny bit of orange out of the top left corner (which I didn't see on the camera screen)! I couldn't redo the shot as I'd lost the natural light in the garden, and I'd eaten the nuts!
I discovered that we have a filbert tree in our garden. I had no idea until I found these nuts lying under the tree. I thought they were hazelnuts, but the nut is longer. Google to the rescue again, told me they were filberts, very similar to hazelnuts. They are delicious; raw or lightly roasted with a sprinkling of salt.
Oh lovely capture and focus, nice SOOC. Fav.
We have a hazelnut tree in our garden planted by my hubby, he's waited years for it to crop but last year it surprised us with a kilo of nuts but there is not so many this year.
SOOC, very impressive Issi, perfect focus, dof and lovely colours. (You shouldn't have drawn our attention to that bit of orange - it's hardly noticeable :)
I think you did a wonderful job of this. The spot in the corner does not detract from the subject. In fact it looks like some of the spots of yellow on the pavement.
Well done on the SOOC. I like how at the top of the nut it appears the orange shell just couldn't hold the growing fruit in. Super detail in this shot.
