Confession time ... I play this game on a daily basis, despite being positively averse to computer or phone games. But 'Words with Friends', well, somehow that's different!
I've been playing WWF daily for 5 years! I think it's safe to say that I'm addicted. :-) Great capture - such a familiar image, I thought for a second I opened the wrong App! Fav! I'm always open for new games . . . 4512ldc
Haven't heard of this game, although it looks a lot like Scrabble. This is a great shot - bright, full of color and patterns and most of it just enough out of focus to make me want to really figure out what all the words are.
@milaniet It's just like scrabble, except you get to try out words and see if they work before you have to commit to playing them. Also, there are some very 'iffy' words which are accepted, and some words which get strangely rejected, but over the piece it's fun and I can play with friends all over the world!!! I did Sudoko for a while too ... but that was on newspapers and books, so somehow I did not feel bad about that! I still pick up an occasional Sudoku when I'm travelling.
@woodlandsphotog It's fun, isn't it Richard? - but there are some strange words which are accepted and more annoyingly some 'real' words which get refused!
@tristansmum@randystreat It's basically scrabble on the phone. It's fun, but as I was saying above there are some dubious words accepted - especially of the two-letter variety and some true words which are strangely rejected, which frustrates me occasionally!
Great capture! I'm also addicted and have games going with friends and family in various parts of the world so lots of time zones! The acceptance of bizarre words and non acceptance of real words has me making strange sounds quite often!
I also thought this was a board game; I love Scrabble! I've heard about this game, "Words with Friends"... I have no chance of playing it in that I have no cell phone...perhaps that's for the best! Enjoy!
@Weezilou Scrabble is more taxing Louise, but this game is fun and can be picked up and put down anytime. Playing with people in different time zones is fun too - it means there's always one on the go! I admire you for resisting the cell phone lure. Not easy these days as it's almost 'expected' of you!
I'm a WWF addict, too. I also play Lexulous and Wordfeud. I like Wordfeud the best because it has the option to play on a randomized board. Each new game randomizes the positions of the bonus squares.
