Ikebana by jamibann

Ikebana

My final floral art class today. We looked at Ikebana, the Japanese art of arranging flowers. We did not stick to the fairly strict rules and minimalism of Ikebana, but as the practice requires, we did it in silence - cathartic but not so easy! So, here is my personal very unorthodox version of Ikebana.
A fabulous shot. Very artistic.

I think first you should have a FAV for silence - I'd be completely useless at that. And another FAV for design - a third FAV for perfect DOF

Wonderful capture of this beautiful arrangement! As a few others have mentioned, the complete silence would have been a problem for me. :-)

Nothing short of exquisite! I actually like that you did this arrangement in silence... While in person, I'm a bit of a talker, I do like to have concentration time when I'm working on any sort of project. This is just lovely, Issi! Clearly you passed this class with flying colours! Huge Fav!

Such talent! I would love to have this grace my table. The colours are both beautiful and soothing. I agree with Louise that you must have passed the course with flying colours.

Traditional or not, this is a beautiful arrangement, Issi, and a lovely capture of it. Fav for me.
