One for sorrow

These skittish, noisy magpies are not easy to capture, but I managed to catch this one unawares for once as he sat on the garden fence. Better on black.
When you see a magpie for the first time, you should always say, "Good morning Major" it will bring you good luck.

@pennystot Yes, we have a pair in our neighbour's garden. I saw them with the two young today. They are incredibly noisy birds, aren't they?!
