5000 lady cyclists from all over France joined together in Strasbourg to celebrate cycling. Our group cycled 700 km from Paris to Strasbourg and others had travelled up to 1200 km from the south of France. Everyone met up in the Jardin des Deux Rives on Sunday to cycle through Strasbourg and over this famous footbridge into Kehl in Germany.
We were in the front of the parade, and as we cycled back towards the bridge, to return to the park, we could see a trail of cyclists still streaming over the bridge. I pulled in to capture this image.
Don't be fooled by the blue sky! We had some atrocious weather en route, but were very fortunate that the final day was not marred by rain.
Catching up big time at the moment ... after a week's absence!
Well done Issy to complet this star-cycling event, in this terrible weather. And the bridge is a nice symbol and it looks great with all thos lady cyclists on it.
Oh wow!! Congratulations to you and all the lady bikers. I'm trying to convince myself to start triathlon training again. I love biking and stopped so long ago. Brava to you!
Congrats!
It is a beautiful looking bridge :)
