We had a meal on Tuesday evening last week at the Marcliffe Hotel in Aberdeen, to celebrate our son's 21st birthday (one week late). We were delighted to meet up with Eric Close of 'Nashville' and 'Suits' fame who was in the area for a golfing holiday. The funny thing is that I saw him going to the bathroom and spent ages trying to work out who he was. I seriously thought I knew him. I pointed him out to a friend (the blonde one, gazing longingly at him) who recognised him immediately. He then came over, at my husband's invitation, and chatted about his golf holiday, and showed off photos on his i-phone. I contented myself with taking a quick snap!
