La Parisienne

So today was La Parisienne. 46,000 women running in the streets of Paris. Quite a sight to behold. However, I have no photographs to mark the occasion as I did not take my phone with me. Security was so tight that it seemed easier to travel ultra-light. So I did. Two metro tickets and 40 euros emergency money in my pocket and that was it! Quite cathartic actually! This image was taken on Friday on bib pick-up day as I knew I'd want to post something about the event today.

@salza Yes, it's true. I seriously hesitated, as I was going to be on my own and feel uncomfortable if I leave home without it. What a crazy world! But, we really don't need to let people know when we arrive, when we plan leaving and we don't need to take selfies every other minute! Judging by the number of phones I saw, I don't think many people left them behind though! :-)
