Oh Rowan Tree! by jamibann

Oh Rowan Tree!

Oh Rowan Tree, Oh Rowan Tree,

Thou'lt aye be dear to me,
Entwined thou art wi mony ties,
O' hame and infancy.
Thy leaves were aye the first o' spring,
Thy flow'rs the simmer's pride;
There was nae sic a bonny tree
In a' the countryside.

Lovely vibrant colours. I had not heard of a Rowan tree 9or Rowan berries) before, now I must go and look it up!

The bokeh in this is delightful. I miss having a Rowan tree. It seems they were so much more abundant in Alberta. This is a lovely reminder.

@salza They grow wild everywhere in Scotland, although this one happens to be in our garden.
