There's been a lot of talk about this newly built Russian Orthodox Cathedral, and my friend wanted to go and see it on Friday - in the 7th arondissement of Paris, nestled between the Eiffel Tower and Les Invalides. My camera and I were happy to oblige, but sadly we couldn't go inside the building.
This is taken looking up towards 3 of the 5 domes - it is nicknamed 'Saint Vladimir's'.
Mmmm.... interesting article. I got a chuckle over the building being surrounded with jamming devices to prevent electronic surveillance of nearby government offices. Politics aside, this picture is interesting, with its lines and domes and moody sky.
@milaniet Thanks Milanie. Another terrorist scare in Paris ... all too frequent these days. I'd like to say I never use that airport, but that's the airport, and the terminal, I flew in and out of when I went to Oslo just recently. However, more often than not I fly from the larger Roissy airport.
