I was sitting in a café on the Rue de Tilsitt, on Monday afternoon, when I noticed this sculpture of a face on the wall opposite. I made a mental note to get a shot of it as I was leaving - which I did. Then I noticed that the name of the sculptor was on it, and once home, I googled the name. I had no idea, but it turns out that the sculptor, Gregos, has over 1000 faces in places around the world, but mostly in Paris. I now need to try and find some of the others, and who knows, maybe there's one near you ... http://gregosart.com
Posting this early for tomorrow, as I am heading back home to Scotland for a few days to check up on my dad, who's not getting any younger, and to check up on the renovation work going on at our house there.
Great capture of this fascinating sculpture and such interesting information on the site! Unfortunately, no Gregos faces close to me at this point. I hope you have a wonderful trip back home to Scotland. :-)
Fav'd for the great comp and inclusion of the wall's surroundings. I would've made the mistake of trying to get only the face in the picture, and so much would've been missed out on. Thanks for sharing the link about the artist. Bummer than the American ones are so far away.
