Il est arrivé!

Yes, the Beaujolais Nouveau has arrived, but I haven't tasted it yet. I used my purchase for a photo shoot, but I think I'll save the sampling for the weekend.
Well I did some gardening this morning but didb's come across any vino in the wheelbarrow..

How lovely! When I was working in London we always used to celebrate this day. I loved the story behind the race.

@tremerryn Yes, it's fascinating, and just a shame that the tradition is on the wane. Very few of our French friends bother with the Beaujolais Nouveau these days. I still do, as you can see!

Oh, I love this photo and the whole "Beaujolais Nouveau Day" tradition! I read that in the United States it is promoted as a drink for Thanksgiving since that day always falls exactly one week after the wine is released...so, guess which wine we'll be having with our Thanksgiving meal next Thursday?!? :-)
