Where's Wally? by jamibann

Where's Wally?

It was the Paris marathon yesterday. They got a perfect day for it, sunny but not too warm.

As it passes very close to our little flat, I was able to pop out for a few photos. This was taken from a pedestrian crossing above the circuit, so we got great views of these brave participants, nearing the 30km stage.

I am very admiring of their stamina and determination to complete a 42 km run. I've done a couple of half marathons, but I think I've missed the moment to complete a full marathon.
What a wonderful colourful capture of the runners! Love it and you made me laugh with your title! My friends daughter was running - now wouldn’t that be funny if she was in shot! Lol! Fav!

Great photo! The crowd at these events is amazing. I prefer little runs at my own pace with no audience but I think the local group is very supportive 😊

I find it amazing that the runners are so close together at the 30 km mark! How many run in this one? Love the capture from above too :)

They hardly look as though they have room to run, they are still so tightly bunched.

They are so close together it appears they can hardly move. I couldn't find Wally.

Good shot, and well done to them all. Running just isn't my thing.

I love all the colors and the way the runners form a river of people.

Great pov, what I find interesting is that there is so many and still
bunched up at 30k and talking to each other doesn't seem as if they are in a race! Great sea of color

So many people and so colorful. I like the stand of trees on the upper right, too.

@gilbertwood 55,000 participants it seems. It will be popular, as the course passes through all the iconic areas of Paris. If I did one, it would be this one!

@tosee Yes, so much so that hubby didn't believe me that they were at the 30km stage. I had to show him the route map!

@randystreat Yes, lots of Paris streets are tree lined ... you can just make out the Seine behind the trees.

Great shot!

@jamibann Thanks Issi. The Melbourne marathon has around 30,000 participants and they are quite well spread out by the 30 km mark!
