On Wednesday I visited the Money Museum to see an exhibition by Indian sculptor, Subodh Gupta. This was my favourite - the People Tree. It is like a banyan tree, sitting in the courtyard of the museum. These are the roots of the tree, reflecting the museum. The rest of the tree is made from cooking utensils! I'll post an image of the whole tree on my extras album, for those interested.
I have to say however, that although I loved some of the exhibits, I didn't feel the exhibition as a whole was value for money. 14 euros to see about 8 exhibits. It seemed excessively expensive to me, although it is a standard museum entrance fee.
Great close up. I liked seeing the entire tree sculpture too. The price does seem a little excessive for only eight exhibits. But can we really put a price on culture? Smile.
