As I was crossing one of the bridges over the Seine yesterday, I looked down on this young couple on the banks of the river, enjoying a moment in the shade. I initially didn't want to intrude on their privacy and sneakily photograph them, but then I did it anyway! They were oblivious. I wonder whether they were snapchatting, facebooking, googling, texting or perhaps just looking for the best route to a restaurant or monument. Who knows! But, I liked the photo with all the affection, brickwork and sunshine.
And, hey, it's June. Officially one month before the R word.
Love this photo , it sums up the times we live in . just ten years ago the couple would be looking at each other or the view , now it's the phone . I love technology but sometimes wonder of we have lost the joy of the moment . After saying that I'm now trying to think what the" R word " is....I might Google it lol
Love this candid capture! It looks romantic and then you see they are both on their phones! No - put them down and talk to each other! Makes me sad to see this as it’s definitely a sign of the times! My family are the worst culprits and It makes me want to tell them to leave their phones at the door! Fav for your great image!
Ah, I like this very much! Classic France. It's very intimate and relaxed and I am loving the stripy shirt.
You are very good at catching street scenes with people. I've just started the new street competition today, do check it out. I'm sure you'll have some lovely stuff for that as I want people in the shots.
@ilovelenses Ha ha ... you might never guess. Google won't help! It's the 'retirement' word! We are leaving Paris at the end of the month as my husband is retiring. Then we'll be in Scotland full-time! It's going to be a bit of a change!
These days if they have a phone in their hand you could walk right up to them and they would not even notice. But like you I think it's a fabulous candid photo. FAV
