I did promise myself an outing with the camera yesterday afternoon, and I came good! I met a friend and we went for a visit to the Pompidou Centre, primarily to see Sabine Weiss's photo exhibition, which was excellent. However, while we were there we also went to see 'A Modern Adventure' which runs until the end of August. It was spectacular. I loved these items of furniture displayed at the glass window overlooking the Sacré Coeur in the distance.
@pusspup Oh gosh, where to start? How long have you got? What do you like? Don't miss the Fondation Louis Vuitton. I love the Pompidou Centre too. Try a lunch on the Seine - Le Calife is a nice small boat which does a two hour lunch cruise and is not too 'touristy'.. Don't miss Montmartre, the Place du Tertre and the Sacré Coeur. If you want a great view over Paris, go to La Défense, The Grande Arche. No queues. Book ahead for anything you know you want to do - it'll save you lots of time. Anything I can help with, let me know!
@jamibann that's a wonderful collection, thanks so much. We only have a few days so will have to be organised by the sounds of it! I'm told there's some sort of "Paris pass" that can be purchased for entry to some things???
@jamibann thanks Issi, it looks really interesting but you're right its not cheap! will have a good think about what we're wanting to do and if its good value.
