These sheep are in the neeps

This reminded me of the nursery rhyme ...

Little boy blue,
Come blow your horn,
The sheep's in the meadow,
The cow's in the corn.
But where is the boy
Who looks after the sheep?
He's under a haystack,
Fast asleep.

These sheep were in a field of neeps. This seems to be common practice here in winter. It's not the first time I've seen sheep eating their way through a whole park of turnips.
I've seen it down in Dorset too - usually a strip at a time. Makes a great b&w shot

Wonderful image, down here in the South they turn the sheep out on cauliflower fields, always a very photogenic sight!

An unusual sight for me. I don't think I've seen a turnip patch that big, ever. And a lot of sheep in the field. Lots of patterns.

Park of turnips...now there's a new collective noun for me. I remember the nursery rhyme too ;-)

love this processing, they don't look quite real, but it looks great. They're welcome to the turnips too.
