Another piece from Aberdeen's Nuart 2019 Street Art Festival - down at The Green. This is by Smug, aka Sam Bates, an Australian street artist who now lives and works in Glasgow. Usually I hate the white van or lorry syndrome, but somehow here it just seemed to fit right in with the environment.
fascinating street art - we had something like that on one of the buildings in London's East End, and it was being slated as too soppy compared with the graffiti with an edge
WOW! That's a beauty. I'm curious about how the artist accesses the space. Takes away the grey.
Must swing by this way next time I take the bus to the city!
@sarah19 Get your self a Nuart 2019 map and check them all out Sarah. There are some beauties. A lot of them centred around Jopp's Lane and the Green area.
@happypat Yes, it's a new festival - I think this is the third year. It's a collaboration with Norway, I believe. If you google 'Nuart Aberdeen' you will be able to 'read all about it'! It's breathed a bit of life into the city which struggles a bit, culturally, in my opinion.
