We attended my husband's fishing club annual barbecue yesterday at Loch Muick. This was our first occasion to attend, and we cycled up to the loch from Ballater. Part of the deal is that new members have to attend a boat safety presentation and learn how to use the boat which members get access to on this loch. A wise move, as it's a big, deep, cold loch, and I wouldn't like to get into trouble there! It was a nice event, despite the distinctly 'unsummery' weather.
Sensible rules but that loch is very beautiful but so cold looking for someone who only likes to go near hot pools! Sounds a really lovely meet up, nice to do these things together & make new friends! Beautiful Scotland!
