Fiona in the Forest by jamibann

Fiona in the Forest

Fiona is loving being outdoors as much as possible - she particularly likes it when I let her go and wander on her own - which I don't do very often - she is rather small and could get lost.

In fact, both she and Jock McLego nearly came to a sticky end the other day, as I accidentally put them in the washing machine (they were in the pocket of my fleece). A close scrape for them both. They, and I, need to be really careful. I'd hate to lose either one of them.

I am very frustrated with some stuff at the moment. I recently bought a new printer as my old one gave up the ghost. And now I have a lovely new printer which my computer can't seem to find, and which hubby's computer can't find either! Also, I allowed my iMac to update to Catalina, and now I can't get my airdrop to work, and also I had to buy an annual package to update my Microsoft office as it won't work otherwise. What else? My car is in the garage having a warranty repair and I have a courtesy car which I have to pay the insurance for. They said 2 weeks, for which I paid £25, and didn't mind. Now I can't get a hold of the garage, and am going to have to extend the insurance on the courtesy car for how long, I don't know. And don't even talk to me about my insurance claim for our cancelled holiday ... oh, woe is me, so much frustration and paperwork, even though I know I have much to be grateful for!!! There are days like that, I know, but ....

Anyway - Happy April folks. May the month be a good one for you, with more sunshine than April showers.
Oh my gracious, Issi! Are you, in Scotland, not under lock and key? How lovely to have a forest to walk in... Such a state of affairs when things change so suddenly that you can't even retrieve your car! I hope things improve for you sooner than later!

@Weezilou I'm in Scotland Louise. We are very restricted in movement, but can have an hour's exercise, close to home, every day. So, I still have that, and we have our garden! I also have our son at home, from London, so that's something else to be thankful for. Lots to be thankful for, in fact, but some days the frustration mounts - as it does for everyone, I know. We have to keep smiling! xx

A cute image. It's a pain when everything seems to be against you!

It's the little things and lots of them that start to needle at the moment, isn't it? A good moment to get outdoors with the lovely Fiona and Jock McLego and breathe the fresh air and let it go for a while any time you can. Wonderful that you have such beauty around you. I'd swap you for my town centre any day!! I hope you manage to sort the car thing. And I am very glad they didn't meet a sticky end in the washer! Probably a good plan anyway. I am sure Fiona gets covered in mud all the time on her escapades! Lots of love to you, dear Scottish pal. Hang in there, this shall pass......

Cars and computers are ok here but I'm feeling your pain with the cancelled holiday. We were supposed to be spending 6 weeks in Africa and have no idea for much of our large deposit we'll get back.

love the depth of field on this...

I share your frustration too, I have spent so much time on the phone this last week. Everywhere seems to be closed but I needed to get in touch with estate agent, our financial advisor, etc etc but have had a devil of a job. House sales or lack of causing us hassle....it’s sorted now but time consuming....wondering if Nationwide is open etc...
We are realistic enough to know we won’t be doing any moving from her in the near future but untangling it all has been a pain. Can’t wait to go out & take a good walk! Near miss Fiona & Jock!

Great shot and dof. Full frustration. I think each of us has such simple things that just got stuck.

There's a lovely open and free feeling to this picture; lucky Fiona, getting to enjoy some time outdoors.

@casablanca Yes. I have managed to sort out many of the computer issues ... but then I went up to dad's to deliver food and chat to him over the fence, and I sensed he was fed up with everything, and his hair is long and needing cut. I just wanted to give him a cuddle and a trim! And then I got home to hear that our daughter was 'temporarily laid off' from her job in Norway. The economic mess is just beginning. And breathe ...

@happypat Yes, I know. Friends of ours have just sold their farm. They managed to move into their new house, but the final paperwork for the farm didn't get through before the mess started. They're feeling very frustrated. One day at a time and all that - it's just hard to be positive and optimistic every day during this difficult time, but try we must!

I feel your pain Issi! I have so many frustrations going on at the moment and am pulling my hair out trying to contact holiday company! I am not on holiday I have had to vacate my house and am now stuck in Devon as everything had come to a standstill in my house! No work being done or likely to be done in the near future! Some days it all gets too much and then I tried to put all the issues out of my mind as I cannot change anything! Easy to say don’t stress but I hope you are better at it than I am!

@pamknowler Oh Pam, you don't have your troubles to seek, do you? I feel for you. I'm not the best at staying zen either, even if you know it's the only way. Stay safe and sane, and take refuge in 365! xx

Love the photo and all the comments and responses too. This project is so much more than a photo share.
I can appreciate the frustration of the holiday cancellation as our son is still waiting for Tui to respond re their honeymoon to Italy!! Clearly not on.
I'm finding the work online for school extremely stressful as connections don't seem to be in place. Holidays soon.
Hope your Dad is ok. It's horrible to leave a parent on their own when friends can't just drop in as usual.

Wonderful focus and light, and she gets to be outside with you.

Cyber world and its inner workings are a mystery to me. I've stopped allowing my laptop to automatically update everything for fear that one day it will no longer function as the new programs are too much for it. So far, it's still working just fine! I do hope all works out for you in the end. I am with you and Fiona 100%- 365 is often my sanity infuser! Love this shot of her roaming the moss.
