Looking down onto Loch Tummel from half way up Schiehallion. Although we never went as far as 'The Isles', I kept singing the old refrain 'Sure by Tummel and Loch Rannoch and Lochaber I will go, by heather tracks wi' heaven in their wiles, if it's thinking in yer inner heart, the braggart's in my step, ye've never smelt the tangle o' the Isles'!
Ah, nothing better than singing out there in the glorious fresh air in the mountains! Beautiful composition, your friends look very happy to be up there with you.
What a lovely view. I’ve did the same in my recent visit to the northwest - Scourie and Achiltibuie and found myself breaking into song. ‘Oh ye’ll take the high road and I’ll take the low road’ for some reason!
As soon as I read the name of the loch...I was thinking the exact same words...good to see it there before us looking so beautiful. Quite a rocky summit! Walking such mountains must be even nicer with friends!
Beautiful view- I don't know the song but I would love to learn Gaelic! I may not know that song but this view would definitely call up a few songs in my mind as well.
