Morven Sunrise by jamibann

Morven Sunrise

Today's walk ... we set off in the dark at 7am in order to get back home by 2pm to allow me to go visit dad in the afternoon. 23 snowy km later, and a visit to dad in Braemar, I am now officially exhausted. More from me tomorrow! Oops ... better on black. xx
wow that is such a sight!

Exhaustion well earned! The sun on this is quite sensational.

At first sight I thought this was sand dunes rather than snow.
No wonder you are exhausted.

We always reckoned that Braemar was just about the most lovely village in Scotland and a great place for a couple from Oz to experience a White Christmas.. Never did manage that though

@terryliv Braemar is my favourite place. We now live in Ballater, nearby, but I always love going up the road to Braemar. It's a bit remote though, and Ballater is an easier place to live - especially as you get older. However, now that the old Fife Arms Hotel has been modernised and re-opened as a 5* Hotel, Braemar is going up in the world! You must try and visit again! You could still get that white Christmas there, I feel sure.

Beautiful- of course all your "walks" sound exhausting to me! Awesome way to begin the day.
